When we think about a celebrity, we probably think about somebody who sings or acts. Although they certainly are those who are at the forefront when it comes to celebrity status, there are also many others behind the scenes who do their part as well. For example, if you were to look at a rock band, you would probably instantly know who the singer was but would you know the rest of the band? That includes the drummer, who is often behind the scenes doing his part to keep the music going. They can be the best drummer in the world but often, they go unnoticed.
That isn’t always the case, however, and there have been some very popular drummers over the years. This includes a man by the name of Chad Smith, who you may recognize from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. When it comes to drumming, he is at the top of his game and it doesn’t matter if he is playing with the rest of the band or not, he does an awesome job. In the video that you see below, he is facing off against another celebrity. The funny thing is, the other celebrity is not known for his music, he is known for his comedy and acting.
The drum-off took place on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Chad Smith faced off with Will Ferrell, and it ended up being one of the more interesting shows we have seen on late-night TV for quite some time. Both of them came out wearing KISS T-shirts and looking very similar to each other, but when the sat behind the drums, it was a different story.
Chad Smith did an excellent job of drumming, as you would expect but will Ferrell held his own as well. It’s obvious that he has some musical talent and although he went a different direction with his career, he may have been able to develop that talent even further.
