Hollywood has brought us some memorable moments in films. Ideally, movies elicit a reaction from their audience, whether it’s fear, heartbreak, laughter, joy, or a whole range of emotions in between. We watch movies to escape for a while and live our lives vicariously through other people’s stories. Films also allow us to go on big adventures and do things that we usually couldn’t do. For instance, I remember going to a theatre in 1984 and busting ghosts for almost two hours! And a year later, in 1985, my cousin and I both traveled “Back to the Future.” However, some scenes can literally move audiences by putting some out some action on the dance floor (or any floor for that matter).
Dance scenes are a Hollywood tradition, and while musicals are not as popular as they once were, there are still plenty of films that incorporate dance even when the movies are not strictly about dancing and singing. And for actors, these kinds of roles can be severe, especially if they are not naturally good dancers. It may take them months to get their moves right for a scene that only lasts a few minutes. Just recently, someone uploaded a mashup of some of the most iconic dance scenes and mixed them together to the beat of Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”
Needless to say, the end result was nothing short of spectacular.
My personal favorite was watching the dance scene from Pulp Fiction set to this song!
