For those of us who love being out in nature, one of the most beautiful places to visit is the majestic Great Smoky Mountain area in Tennessee. If you’re in that area during the months of May and June, you can experience the magic of watching thousands of fireflies light up the night sky. Then, later on in the year around the fall, you can witness all of the spectacular autumn colors that always attract devoted leaf-peepers from all over the country. Then to top things off, you can go on awesome hiking adventures, relax by waterfalls, and dance around in fields of bright and colorful wildflowers.
But now, outdoor lovers have yet another fabulous reason to visit the area because, at this moment, there is a brand new Treehouse resort being built in the Gatlinburg area. The new resort will provide guests with unique experiences, allowing them to feel the peace and tranquility of the picturesque Smoky Mountain countryside. Folks will soon praise acclaimed Treehouse designer and builder Peter Nelson for what is sure to a one-of-a-kind resort experience. The name of the new resort will be the Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek, and it’s planned to open its doors sometime during the spring of 2020. This construction project is still ongoing. However, folks can get a taste of what they are in store for by looking at these stunning photos of other Treehouse lodges Nelson had designed and built in other places such as the Pacific Northwest’s Treehouse Point resort.
When the resort is finished, it will give guests eight different Treehouse choices, each with their own personality and features. On the Treehouse Grove website, they promise future guests that each Treehouse will have a unique floor plan complete with many of the amenities you would expect to find at a resort. Plus, each Treehouse will be near a creek and will have lofts, screen porches, and decks.
Around the country, Nelson has already completed construction on numerous other Treehouse resorts, such as TreeHouse Point near Seattle in Fall City, Washington. Their theme is a syvan oasis, and they offer six different Treehouses to choose from. Rates start at $325 per night.
In Texas’ beautiful Hill Country, you can find a resort that offers four exquisite and unique luxury Treehouses, which are also very spacious. The name of the resort is the Treehouse Utopia, and guests can rent units starting at $475 per evening.
But, Nelson and his family are not slowing down anytime soon. They plan to open another Treehouse resort in Washington state in the Redmond area. This resort will offer spa services such as pedicures, manicures, facials, and massages. Plus, they will have an on-site swimming pool and yoga studio.
These luxury Treehouses sure beats Treehouses found in many backyards, that’s for sure.
