When you’re going to high school, there’s almost no better opportunity to learn about things that ignite your passion, while unlocking your capacity through developing the skills you need to succeed. It does not matter if it’s music, sports, or academics, high school, where you can genuinely find your particular niche and begin the journey to greater proficiency. And also while these activities can often involve extra commitment, discipline, and devotion (words most teenagers attempt to stay clear of like the chores), they can also act as positive outlets when you’re really feeling worn out from all the schoolwork and all the stressful pressures that go along with living an adolescent life. Most importantly, if your outlet entails your buddies, then you may have stumbled on a winning formula for success.
Being a part of a Drumline is just one of the many types of activities that let teens use their creative energy to unleash newfound talents, all while socializing with a group of pals sharing the same interest. A fantastic example of how much fun teens can have in a Drumline is a performance uploaded to YouTube featuring some high schoolers who call themselves the “Hot Scots.” These teens recently dropped on an insane performance at their high school’s sleepy little talent show. While donning kilts along with black tennis shoes and shirts, the five-teen group assembled on stage, looking as loose and relaxed as could be — as though they were not in a competition at all. But while, Matt, Dylan, Jordan, Elias, and Nigel may have seemed like they weren’t taking things too seriously, folks quickly discovered, they came to win.
From the way they strolled on stage to when they started to play, it was clear that performing in a Drumline s was something these teenagers were really into. And just bet these kids had as much fun during their practice sessions and choreography as they did on stage.

And, judging from their animated expressions to the method they creatively engaged with the audience, it was clear that these teens had understood how to be entertaining, all while never skipping a beat. Not only were they able to concentrate on faultlessly executing their rhythm together, these kids even threw in a couple of tricks like flipping their drumsticks.

It appeared that the crowd was going wild as the Hot Scots mixed in hot solo performances, fun choreography, as well as a stage presence that many professionals would envy.

They also threw in a little bit of freestyle as they swayed, bopped their heads, and hopped while playing. Their routine was nothing short of incredible, and there was no question as to who the winners of the competition would be.

These youngsters truly nailed it. I just hope they didn’t go on first, because who would want to follow this act?
