6 Sisters Sing Breathtaking Cover Of ‘Mary Did You Know’

Music has the ability to touch our lives in so many different ways. More than likely, you have a favorite song or two that you enjoy hearing when it plays on the radio. You may keep it on your device so that you can listen to it over and over again. Although most of us don’t listen to Christmas music all year, it is still the favorite by the time November rolls around. Those jingles can be heard everywhere during that time of year and they often stay in our head long into January.

If you haven’t heard the popular Christmas song, Mary Did You Know, then you are about to hear it with one of the best renditions possible. Of course, even if you have heard it many times in the past, you will have never heard it quite like this. That is due to the fact that it is performed by an all sister music group named, Cimorelli. They blend their voices together beautifully to perform this song and they do it without any musical accompaniment. Their voices are soothing and the scenery is beautiful as you listen to them singing.

Most people tend to appreciate the beauty of a Christmas Carol sung a cappella. It can make you feel warm from the inside out.

The Internet has truly allowed us to experience music that otherwise may not have ever been heard by the masses. The song, Mary Did You Know, may be a favorite in many households, but after you hear this rendition, it will take on a new meaning.

The six sisters who are singing were originally from Northern California but now they live in Nashville, Tennessee. They were taught to sing and play the piano as children but now they are between the ages of 19 and 29. They even have five brothers.

Cimorelli was relatively unknown until one of their videos went viral. Now the six sisters, Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, Lauren, and Dani have signed a deal with a record label and their YouTube channel continues to grow.

If you take a look at the YouTube channel, you will see that they have covered many popular songs and Christmas tunes over the years. They even have some of their own, original songs that are quite nice.

It only took a couple of weeks for this a cappella version of Mary Did You to be viewed almost 1 million times. It is little wonder, because they already have 5 million subscribers.

The sisters are lined up together in the woods to sing this song. It is a nice backdrop for such beautiful voices.

Amy starts with the lyrics: “Mary did you know, that your baby boy would one day walk on water?”

The oldest sister then follows: “Mary did you know, that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?”

Every member of the group brings something beautiful to the blending of voices.

People have really been commenting on their voices and the performance. One person said: “I have heard so many covers of this song but I never heard one like this. It’s just perfect in every way, every note, and the harmonies Omgosh the harmonies from the lowest to the highest is just stunning!”
