When it comes to becoming a JumboTron star at a sporting event, it’s best to either go big or go home.
At a 2018 Saturday night football game at West Virginia University, the dance cam got “a little lit” thanks to two good buddies who staged a rather elaborate dance-off.
Anderson Small is a student at WVU studying broadcast journalism, and his friend Charles E. Hayes is a recent grad who works as a special education teacher.
In the now-viral clip, Anderson and Charles pretend not to know each other as they make their way through the crowd. Surrounded by a sea of WVU blue and gold, the camera first notices Charles as he boogies on down the aisle to the pounding dance music playing in the stadium. Suddenly, traveling up the aisle, Anderson appears. Apparently, unimpressed by Charles’ smooth moves, his friend “bumps” into him as he walks past.
The two pretend to take great offense and trouble seems likely to follow. But then the two friends launch into a new dance together. The people around them are grinning from ear to ear as they watch the duo bust some moves on the stadium’s gigantic dance-cam JumboTron.
The two men then proceed to have an epic, albeit fake dance-off, much to the delight of their fellow WVU fans around them. They’ve both got some super-slick moves, and it’s impossible not to smile as you watch their mock-serious facial expressions.
The video below is short but offers a fun glimpse into what appears to be an awesome friendship between two fun-loving guys. After the WVU football page shared the clip on Facebook, things got really interesting after the video went viral. They both seem to be having a great time accepting the accolades of strangers who just can’t get enough of their entertaining dance-off!
