There is an old saying that tells us if something isn’t broke, there’s no sense in fixing it. Many of us live by those words of wisdom and if we don’t have to replace something, we just decide to hang onto it for as long as possible. It’s not a matter of being frugal, it’s a matter of being smart and sometimes we may have something that just fits like an old glove and we wouldn’t give it up for anything else. That is where this woman comes in. She has been driving a car for over six decades and we can’t imagine the amount of dedication that it takes to hang onto a vehicle this long.
The woman in this video is showing off her 57 Chevy. It’s an absolutely beautiful car that has obviously been taken care of very well over the years. Watching her drive through the town makes us wish that we were behind the wheel for a little while. The fact that she owns a 57 Chevy is not amazing in and of itself but the fact that it is the only car that she has owned since 1957 is absolutely incredible. When you stop to think that this car is over 60 years old and still looks and runs as good as it does, it just shows you the amount of engineering that went into designing and building it.
We may sometimes see older cars. Most of them are tucked away in a museum or they may only be pulled out of the garage every once in a while and taken for a drive. This woman is living life in an older car, and it is absolutely amazing.
