Cat Is Trapped In A Cage For Her Entire Life And Now Will Not Stop Thanking Her Rescuers

If there is one thing that we know about felines, it’s the fact that they have a personality that is unique. Each one is different but for one particular cat named Lovebug, the personality matches the name perfectly. The problem is, she wasn’t always able to act that way and when she lived in her first home, she was locked in a dog crate for the majority of her life because her owner suffered from a severe mental illness. We’re happy to say that Lovebug got a second chance and she can now let her affectionate personality shine.

Many dogs enjoy spending time in a cage but cats are not dogs. They don’t do well when they are confined and their natural behaviors would cause them to want to be free and roaming. The lack of attention that they would receive in a cage can also affect them negatively. Researchers Judith L. Stella and Candace C. Croney say that cats stuck in cages can experience a decreased appetite, withdrawal socially, decreases in grooming and wanting to hide more frequently.

Furry Nation Salvation saved Lovebug from her former life and put her with Patty, a foster parent. Because she had a difficult upbringing, she had a skin infection and was missing a lot of fur. Since that time, she has healed nicely.

In a YouTube Video, the rescue explains, “Before her rescue, [Lovebug] was owned by a mentally ill woman who kept her confined to a dog crate for most, if not all of her life. Now in foster care with Patty, [Lovebug] is safe.”

Lovebug is a kitty that is very special and it seems as if she may have been mistreated by humans but she doesn’t hold a grudge. She showers her new foster mother with a lot of love and affection.

After she was rescued, Lovebug just won’t leave her foster mom alone. She is constantly going in for another snuggle and she is so thankful to be saved that she smothers her foster mother with lots of kisses.

Lovebug it absolutely loves her humans but she also snuggles up to a dog when it’s time for bed. It seems as if she doesn’t have any boundaries as far as her love is concerned.

If you were to meet Lovebug after she was rescued, you would never guess that she lived such a poor life. Cats are incredibly forgiving animals and you are always going to be surprised when you see how well they react to a good situation.

If you are thinking about getting a feline for your family, let Lovebug be an inspiration to you. Never judge a cat by the feline they were in the past, they all have a bright future ahead of them.
