It doesn’t matter what type of love you are describing, the love that a mother has for her child is going to trump it. Most of us know that truth from the time we are very young. It is something that is built into us and once we are a part of such a special relationship, it is something we will hold onto for the rest of our lives. Of course, there are going to be times when the love of a mother is pushed to the limit, and that includes when she is separated from her little one.
This is something that we recognize in humans but it also is easy to see in many different animals as well. When they are apart from their children, it can cause a lot of anxiety and if it lasts long enough, they may start to suffer grief. That is what was experienced by a cow named Karma. She was a rescue living at the Gentle Barn animal sanctuary.
The sanctuary did not know that she had a difficult past. The former owners had hid her baby (Mr. Rojas) from the workers at the sanctuary so they could sell him for a profit after Karma was taken away. The mother cow was brokenhearted and it was more than she could bear when she was forced to live life without her child.
The rescuers knew they had to do something so they went out and located Mr. Rojas. When they went back to his former owners, they retrieved the calf after demanding that he be turned over. When they pulled up with Mr. Rojas on board in the trailer, Karma could tell that something was familiar. She called out to the calf in a way that will melt your hears.
