This spot is in Kakadu National Park in Australia. It is in the Northern Territory. And it is heavily infested with massive saltwater crocodiles.

Wildlife experts say this is one of the highest risk locations in the country. Large saltwater crocodiles gather here in massive numbers. They wait in the murky depths for food.

Matt Cornish is a local wildlife expert. He says people get too familiar with the spot and ignore the very real threat. Familiarity breeds a deadly sense of false security.
He speaks about the hard truth about the location. He said, “Cahills Crossing is considered to be a high-risk crocodile location where people need to be extremely vigilant,”
The massive ancient beasts launch themselves without any warning.
He added a grim reminder of the history. He stated, “We have had crocodile fatalities there over the last couple of decades.” The death toll is a matter of public record.
Mick Bender is a licensed reptile handler. He warns that people underestimate how fast these beasts can move. He says to stay at least five metres back from the water.
He explained the attack mechanics. He warned, “Their strike range is half of their body length, that’s tip of their nose to the base of their tail, and they can do that in the blink of an eye.”
