Donald Trump surprised people at a rally in Kentucky when he started talking about Jake Paul’s future. The influencer turned boxer was sitting in the audience that day, and Trump suddenly suggested that politics might be next for him after careers in social media, acting, and boxing.
Trump made the comment while speaking at a gathering held at Verst Logistics in Hebron. Paul had shown up to attend the event, only a few months after suffering a heavy boxing loss to Anthony Joshua back in December, something many fans were still talking about.

I predict that you will be running for political office in the not-so-distant future, and you have my complete endorsement. pic.twitter.com/FTF0tbRuKQ

While addressing the crowd, Trump turned toward the idea of Paul entering politics and said, “I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office.” He did not explain what kind of office he meant, leaving the details open.
Trump then made his support clear to the crowd gathered at the rally. He followed the prediction by saying, “You have my complete and total endorsement,” which drew a strong reaction from people in the room who began applauding as Paul was invited up.
Moments earlier, Trump had joked about Paul’s political preferences, telling the audience, “I didn’t ask Jake who he voted for, but I don’t think it was Kamala.” He continued, “I think your whole reputation would be shot if he said ‘Oh, I voted for Kamala.'”
Trump also spent time talking about Paul’s other work, especially his podcast, BS w Jake Paul, which he said he had been invited to appear on. Speaking about the influencer’s career, Trump said, “His podcast is big stuff and he’s big stuff.”

He continued praising Paul, adding, “This guy has guts.” Soon after, Paul stepped up to the podium and addressed the crowd himself, speaking about the influence Trump has had on him personally and how that example shaped his own approach.
Paul told the crowd, “What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage,” and then continued by explaining what that meant to him. He said, “We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you.”
He also spoke about how his upbringing played a role in his willingness to talk about politics openly. Paul said, “My dad taught me to fight and all of our voices matter in America. I’m never afraid to speak the truth.”
This was not the first time Paul had spoken publicly about politics or shown support for Trump. The former Disney Channel personality had already expressed support during the 2024 campaign and even used his YouTube channel to share his endorsement.
At that time, Paul also encouraged his audience to learn about political issues themselves instead of relying only on what they hear online. His comments during the rally simply added another moment to that ongoing political conversation around him.
