The birthday is the day of the year that we celebrate more than any other. It’s a day that we turn a year older and we can often spend it with family and friends.

When one of the royal family has a birthday, it is celebrated by more than family and friends, it is celebrated by people around the world. That was the case recently when Prince Harry turned 40.

It’s hard to believe that the young boy we all remember so well turned 40 on September 15. Looking back a decade, he was anxious when he turned 30 but he recently said that turning 40 made him excited.

He said: “Whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world.

“Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life, as well as sharpening my focus in all my work,” Harry told the BBC. “Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place.”

Something else that came as a surprise to many was the warm birthday wishes that came from the Royal Family. They shared it on their official Instagram page, saying: “Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!”

The post was then shared by William and Kate on X, and they captioned it: “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!”

After Harry and his wife, Megan Markle left the UK and put some distance between themselves and the Royal Family in 2020, things were strained among the couples. It was nice that they shared warm wishes, despite the distance.

Birthday wishes also came from others, including the Invictus Games Foundation.

Scotty’s L Soldiers also sent out birthday greetings.
