Celebrity And Person Of Interest’s Laptop Seized In Matthew Perry’s Death Investigation

The death of Matthew Perry may seem like old news to many people but there is still an ongoing investigation. In fact, a new report reveals that the belongings of a woman, including her iPhone and the laptop have been seized by law enforcement officers.

The unnamed woman, who is considered a person of interest in the case, is now being interrogated by the police and her personal items are being looked through. It began after the police in Los Angeles started a criminal investigation along with the US Drug Enforcement Administration.

The death of Matthew Perry on October 28, 2023, may have seemed like a simple matter of overdose to many people, for those who are looking into it further, however, it is having an impact on at least one other individual.

The woman who is the person of interest has been said to be an emotional wreck at this time. They said: “This could send her over the edge, whether she’s involved or not.”

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Matthew Perry’s death in December was a result of “the acute effects of ketamine.”

They went on to say: “Contributing factors in Mr Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine (used to treat opioid use disorder). The manner of death is accident.”

The LAPD released an additional statement in May 2024, saying: “Based on the Medical Examiner’s findings, the Los Angeles Police Department, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Inspection Service, has continued its investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Perry’s death.”

According to a source, the person shared that the unnamed celebrity was being completely cooperative as they took her iPhone and computer following the search of her room. They went on to say that Perry and her began an ‘unexpected friendship’ after they met in rehab.

They went on to say: “She’s hired lawyers and has had multiple meetings with law enforcement since they arrived at her sober living house with a search warrant. She’s being tight-lipped about the situation.

“But the investigators must have known something to get a warrant and turn up like that. It’s tough to say or know exactly what her role is [in Matthew’s death], but she’s adamant she had nothing to do with that.”

We will have to see where this one goes.
